Fall/Winter 2026: The Fabrics of the Season — Silk, Lace, and Wool Reimagined
When the days in Berlin grow shorter and light streams through the large windows of our showroom, the atmosphere changes. The wardrobe for the cooler months demands a very special tactile quality: protection, warmth, and at the same time, effortless elegance. This season, we are experiencing a wonderful synthesis of classic craftsmanship and modern lightness. I have curated fabrics for you from both modern and traditional weavers in Italy and France that perfectly capture this mood. Silk, Lace, and Wool present themselves in Autumn/Winter 2026 with a depth that invites touch.
Virgin Wool and Bouclé: Texture with Character
Wool for the colder months is no longer just a mere shield against the wind. The modern qualities from our Italian weavers reflect a subtle architecture: they provide support without ever appearing stiff.
A prime example from our current collection is our Bouclé with Lurex in Ruby Red. When you run your fingers over the surface, you feel the interplay of characteristic loop structure and soft volume. The interwoven Lurex thread captures the sparse winter light in a completely understated way.
- Material: Virgin wool blend with a subtle Lurex content
- Handle & Drape: Voluminous, structured, and with a soft body
- Your Project: Perfectly suited for boxy couture jackets in the French style, structured coats, or form-fitting pencil skirts that maintain their shape in everyday wear.
Silk: Substantial Elegance for Cold Days
In the colder season, we turn to silk qualities with more body and substance. Heavy silk crepes, noble Duchesse, or densely woven silk taffeta bring a flowing movement to your designs that resonates with every step.
Pure silk fabrics possess natural thermoregulation: they feel cool against the skin and quickly absorb body warmth. The handle is soft, the sheen matte and deep rather than superficial.
- Material: 100% fine Italian silk
- Handle & Drape: Heavy drape, flowing with an elegant, sculptural swing
- Your Project: Ideal for flowing evening gowns, wide-leg palazzo pants, or simple blouses under structured wool jackets.
Lace: Transparency as a Play with Layers
In Autumn 2026, lace moves beyond its role as a mere decorative element. We see French Chantilly and expressive Guipure laces as an essential component of multifaceted ensembles.
The secret lies in the contrast: imagine a delicate, floral lace peeking out from under the rough lapel of a wool coat. The filigree patterns break up the dense material of winter fabrics and lend the entire outfit a fascinating depth.
- Material: High-quality French lace (e.g., cotton or viscose-based)
- Handle & Drape: Delicate, filigree, supple yet dimensionally stable in pattern
- Your Project: Wonderful for layered bralettes, opulent blouse inserts, or as a superimposed highlight on opaque silk.

Every fabric tells its own story. A successful garment begins the moment you drape the fabric over your hand for the first time and feel how it behaves.
I cordially invite you to discover this tactile experience for yourself — whether online in our shop or in person at our Berlin showroom. Let us together find the material that will bring your designs to life this season.
Sincerely,
