Silk Stretch with Painterly Flowers

A supple silk stretch fabric with a large-scale, painterly floral print on a warm cream background. Lush blossoms in coral, red, orange, yellow, blue, and violet are accompanied by green leaves with varying nuances and delicate floral branches. The flowers are deliberately not arranged in a strict geometric pattern, but rather resemble a lush, hand-painted summer bouquet spread across the entire fabric surface. Thanks to its smooth, supple surface and elastane content, the fabric drapes softly and moves comfortably – a beautiful choice for feminine silk stretch fabric by the meter with an expressive print.

Suggested Uses

The large-format floral print is particularly effective on larger pattern pieces. The fabric is suitable for:

• summer dresses and maxi dresses
• flowing blouses and tunics
• close-fitting tops and bodices
• skirts
• elegant evening and occasion wear
• individual pattern pieces or inserts for special designs

When designing, it is worth purposefully placing the large blossoms on the front and back pieces. This way, individual blossoms can be used as eye-catchers or deliberately highlighted from the pattern.

Sewing Instructions & Processing Tips

• For this fine silk quality, we recommend a Microtex needle in size 60–70 and a fine sewing thread.
• Due to the 5% elastane, the fabric should not be stretched as much as possible when sewing. A walking foot can be helpful for longer seams.
• When cutting, the large-scale floral motif should be taken into account. Especially for front and back pieces, it is advisable to plan the blossom position before cutting.
• The saturated color effect on the reverse side may be visible in certain processing situations. Therefore, for open edges or turned details, it should be checked which side of the fabric should face outwards.
